As you can see by our timeline on the right, we have taken some steps this week. We received our info pack from our Centre Jeunesse. We also did our police clearance. No we are not hardened criminals! We can now prove it! :) And we also received our letter from the SAI which allows us to begin this process in the first place!

As I mentioned in a previous post, we are all incredibly excited now. We have brought up "baby sister" to Mara a little more. She now walks into her bedroom and mentions her. She knows her name btw! This time, I don't think we'll last until referral to share it... Stay tuned!!!! Mara often says , "baby" and then runs into baby sister's room and then back to her own and points at her furniture. I believe that this is because I explained that we will be buying baby sister her own dresser, crib etc.... And that when we get her room (the current playroom) ready, the playroom will move down to the guest/computer room. We make comments that baby sister is in China like Mara was etc... We don't want to overwhelm her with info, just laying little seeds along this journey. As the time approaches for us to travel etc...(ummmm, am I jumping ahead here or what?!!!) she will hopefully be quite prepared. I suppose when we receive our referral, then we can really prepare her fully. For now though, mentions of _____ ______ is a good start. Even better though, is her excitement at the prospect of her baby sister!
